Hugging Face is hiring a Senior AI Security Engineer — LLM red teaming on the Trust & safety engineering team (Remote · Germany). This is a hands-on role in LLM & generative AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.

You will own LLM features, retrieval, agents, and evaluation end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.

Remote-first EU team systematically pressure-tests customer copilots—RAG injections, tool escalation, and data exfil paths. You will pair with blue teams to close findings fast.

Occasional travel to client sites in Benelux/Germany for joint war games.

What you will do

Maintain jailbreak taxonomies and reproducible harnesses in CI.
Coordinate disclosure timelines with customers and internal product teams.
Develop lightweight fuzzers for prompts, attachments, and OAuth-linked tools.
Train PM/Eng on secure-by-default patterns for new features.
Track emerging academic and OSS attack research for proactive coverage.

What we look for

Hands-on offensive or app-sec background plus Python engineering depth.
Prior testing of LLM surfaces; ability to document PoCs clearly.
Comfort with GDPR and contracting constraints in customer environments.

Nice to have

Purple-team facilitation experience.
CTF or bug-bounty track record.
