Telefónica is hiring a Senior Senior AI Developer — telco intelligence on the Aura AI team (Hybrid · Madrid, Spain). This is a hands-on role in LLM & generative AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.

You will own LLM features, retrieval, agents, and evaluation end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.

Senior AI Developer (hybrid Madrid): Spanish/English customer copilots, churn models, and network anomaly detection.

About Telefónica

HQ campus in northern Madrid; AI hub for Spain and LATAM.
Aura platform serves millions of customer conversations.
Strong focus on responsible AI and EU AI Act readiness.

What you will do

Extend Aura with RAG over product and troubleshooting corpora.
Build offline evals for hallucination in billing contexts.
Partner with legal on data retention and consent flows.

Stack & environment

Python, LangChain, PyTorch, Kubernetes, on-prem + cloud hybrid.
Hybrid Madrid; Spanish and English required.

What we look for

5+ years applied NLP/LLM in enterprise or telecom.
Eligible to work in Spain.
