Publicada 20 dic 2026 Safran is hiring a Senior Senior AI Developer — aerospace systems on the Aerospace AI team (Hybrid · Izon, France). This is a hands-on role in NLP & language AI —not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.
You will own language understanding, generation, and quality metrics end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.
Safran designs aircraft engines and aerospace systems — predictive maintenance and computer vision from industrial sites in Gironde including Izon .

Train CV models for defect detection on production lines. Build copilots over maintenance manuals with citation requirements. Validate models with reliability engineering sign-off. Stack & environment
Python, PyTorch, Computer Vision, MLOps on-prem. Hybrid Izon/Bordeaux metro; French working language. What we look for
4+ years ML/CV in manufacturing or aerospace. Eligible to work in France. Python
Production Python for data pipelines, model code, APIs, and automated tests—not notebook-only workflows.
PyTorch
Training and inference with PyTorch: reproducible experiments, checkpointing, and deployment-minded exports.
SQL
Analytical SQL for features, cohorts, label quality, and experiment analysis at scale.
Computer Vision
Image or video models with clear eval harnesses (precision/recall, calibration, or domain-specific scores).
Kubernetes Tool
Deploying and scaling model services with health checks, autoscaling, and rollout discipline.
Docker Tool
Containerized services and reproducible dev environments for ML and LLM workloads.
