Peachtree Neural Systems is hiring a Senior Senior Backend Engineer — Generative AI APIs on the Platform team (Hybrid · Atlanta, United States). This is a hands-on role in LLM & generative AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.
You will own LLM features, retrieval, agents, and evaluation end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.
Peachtree Neural Systems powers generative backends for ticketing, CX, and field-service portals across the southeastern US enterprise market. Burst traffic and multi-minute completions are everyday realities.
Seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Atlanta (hybrid) to harden APIs, quotas, and async processing for LLM workloads.
What you will do
- Design horizontally scalable queues and workers for long-running agent completions with resume tokens.
- Implement fair multi-tenant rate limiting, priority lanes, and cost burn alerts.
- Partner with infra on Postgres/Redis scaling patterns and graceful degradation ladders.
- Instrument golden-path tracing from gateway to provider calls for CX debugging.
- Lead production readiness reviews for risky feature launches.
What we look for
- 6+ years backend experience with high-QPS SaaS workloads.
- Strong Python or Go plus deep SQL intuition; pragmatic Redis usage.
- Understanding of SSE/WebSockets and idempotent job semantics.
- US work authorisation.
Nice to have
- Hands-on Stripe-style billing metering or token accounting systems.
- Experience with Temporal, Celery, or sidekiq-scale job fabrics.
