Mercado Libre is hiring a Senior Senior ML Engineer — marketplace & fintech on the Melidata & fraud team (Hybrid · Buenos Aires, Argentina). This is a hands-on role in NLP & language AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.

You will own language understanding, generation, and quality metrics end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.

Mercado Libre is Latin America's largest e-commerce and fintech ecosystem — marketplace, Mercado Pago, and logistics — HQ in Buenos Aires.

Senior ML Engineer (hybrid Buenos Aires): search ranking, fraud, and credit models across MELI's regional footprint.

What you will do

Own ML features from offline training to production monitoring.
Improve fraud and trust models for payments and listings.
Collaborate on Spanish-language NLP for search queries.
