AI Developer — deep learning products

InstaDeep is hiring a Senior AI Developer — deep learning products on the Applied research team (Hybrid · Tunis, Tunisia). This is a hands-on role in LLM & generative AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.

You will own LLM features, retrieval, agents, and evaluation end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.

AI Developer (Tunis hybrid): productize research into client-facing systems — scheduling, routing, protein design assistants, and enterprise copilots with rigorous evaluation.

Tunis is InstaDeep's historical engineering hub; you will collaborate with research scientists and forward-deployed engineers globally.

What you will do

• Implement PyTorch models and serving paths from research prototypes to stable APIs.
• Build eval harnesses, monitoring, and rollback for models used in client deployments.
• Contribute to LLM/agent tooling for operations research and life-sciences workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers; write clear technical docs for mixed research/product teams.

Stack & environment

• Python, PyTorch, LangChain, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP depending on project.
• Hybrid Tunis with optional collaboration in EU offices.

What we look for

• Strong DL fundamentals and 3+ years production engineering experience.
• Portfolio: papers, Kaggle, OSS, or shipped products with metrics.
• English required; French helpful for EU client work.
