What the team is looking for and how this position fits.

Recast.AI is hiring a Senior AI Developer Advocate on the Developer experience team (Remote · Lisbon, Portugal). This is a hands-on role in applied machine learning—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.

You will own modeling, evaluation, and production ML delivery end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.

Lisbon-based developer relations group educates builders on our APIs, hosts workshops across EU meetups, and closes the loop with product on friction points.

Mostly remote with travel ~25% for conferences and hero customer visits.

What you will do

Produce SDK examples, notebooks, and reference apps emphasising responsible patterns.
Deliver talks, live streams, and partner enablement sessions in English (Portuguese bonus).
Triage GitHub issues, reproduce bugs, and author internal briefs for engineering.
Measure adoption funnels and content performance with data-backed iteration.
Represent regional developer voice in roadmap councils.

What we look for

3+ years in DevRel, SA, or full-stack roles with public technical artifacts.
Comfortable coding daily in Python/TypeScript.
Charismatic communicator with inclusion-minded community practices.

Nice to have

Prior startup from 0→1 API adoption stories.
Video editing or motion graphics skills.
