Safran is hiring a Senior Senior AI Developer — aerospace systems on the Aerospace AI team (Hybrid · Izon, France). This is a hands-on role in NLP & language AI—not a generic “AI enthusiast” post.
You will own language understanding, generation, and quality metrics end to end: problem framing, offline evaluation, safe rollout, and iteration from production signals. Success is measured with clear metrics (quality, latency, cost, or business KPIs)—not slide decks alone.
**Safran** designs **aircraft engines** and aerospace systems — predictive maintenance and **computer vision** from industrial sites in **Gironde** including **Izon**.
Senior AI Developer (hybrid Izon): **predictive maintenance**, **quality inspection CV**, and **technical document** NLP for aerospace supply chain.
About Safran
- Global aerospace group; Gironde sites support engine MRO and manufacturing.

What you will do
- Train CV models for defect detection on production lines.
- Build copilots over maintenance manuals with citation requirements.
- Validate models with reliability engineering sign-off.

- Hybrid Izon/Bordeaux metro; French working language.

- 4+ years ML/CV in manufacturing or aerospace.
