About this role

What the team is looking for and how this position fits.

Remote-first EU cohort builds privacy-preserving synthetic datasets for banks and insurers piloting federated/co-trained models with strict DP budgets.

Quarterly offsites in Copenhagen or Berlin for deep working sessions.

What you will do

Prototype tabular and text generators with formal privacy accounting.
Partner with legal on DPIA language for synthetic data usage.
Benchmark downstream utility vs real data under constrained noise levels.
Integrate with secure enclaves / clean rooms where customers require them.
Publish internal guidance on when synthetic data is inappropriate.

What we look for

PhD/MS in ML/stats or equivalent depth in generative modelling + privacy.
Python + PyTorch; comfortable reading differential privacy literature.
Strong ethics compass and documentation rigor.

Nice to have

Federated learning frameworks in production.
Engagement with regulators or industry consortia.

Skills we're hiring for

Core capabilities—LLMs, automation, analytics, product, or domain expertise.
