About this role

What the team is looking for and how this position fits.

Helsinki autonomy team fuses lidar, camera, and proprioceptive sensing for mobile robots in logistics hubs. Sim-to-real and tight collaboration with controls engineers define success.

Hybrid; winter darkness tolerance and outdoor field tests are part of the job.

What you will do

Train and deploy perception models for segmentation, odometry, and obstacle semantics.
Instrument sim environments (Isaac, Gazebo, or custom) with domain randomisation recipes.
Partner with hardware on sensor selection, calibration, and failure analytics.
Deliver on-robot OTA update pipelines with staged rollouts.
Support customer pilots with metrics dashboards and issue triage.

What we look for

MS+ in robotics/CS or equivalent with shipping perception stacks.
PyTorch + C++ integration experience on embedded Linux.
Comfort with Pose estimation, SLAM-adjacent problems, or imitation learning pipelines.

Nice to have

Nordic languages for local customer rapport.
ISO 3691-4 awareness for AGVs.
